Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal information Life Be More LLC collects through lifebemore.com, our signup store at signup.lifebemore.com, and our courses, coaching and corporate programmes, and what we do with it. It applies to everyone who uses our services, wherever you live. Our Terms and Conditions are a separate document.

Who we are

Life Be More LLC is responsible for your personal information. Under UK data protection law, this makes us the "controller".

  • Company: Life Be More LLC, registered in Wyoming, United States
  • Address: 30 N Gould St Ste N, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA
  • Email: info@lifebemore.com

Information we collect

What you give us

  • Contact details such as your name and email address, when you sign up, buy something or get in touch.
  • Purchase and billing details: what you bought, when, the amount and your billing address. Card payments are handled by our payment provider, so we never see or store your full card number.
  • Account details you use to access your courses, such as your login email.
  • What you tell us in forms, quizzes, emails, messages and coaching sessions.
  • Anything you post or submit to us, such as reviews or contributions in a programme.

What we collect automatically

  • Device and usage information, such as your IP address, browser, the pages you visit and how you found us. Optional tracking only runs if you agree to it (see Cookies and similar technologies).

What we receive from others

  • If you arrive through an affiliate partner's link, our affiliate network tells us which partner referred you, so we can pay their commission.
  • If your employer books a corporate programme for you, they may give us your name and work email.

Health and wellbeing information

Our programmes deal with stress, emotions and wellbeing, so in coaching or forms you may tell us about your physical or mental health. UK law treats this as especially sensitive, and we handle it with extra care.

  • We only collect it with your explicit consent, which we ask for separately before coaching or intake forms.
  • We use it only to tailor your sessions and programme, never for marketing or advertising.
  • Only your coaches can see your notes. We don't share your health information unless the law requires it or someone's safety is at serious risk.
  • If a live session is recorded, we tell you before it starts and explain who can watch it.
  • You can withdraw this consent at any time, and we will then delete what you shared unless the law requires us to keep it.

Our services are educational and are not medical or psychological treatment (see our Terms and Conditions).

How we use your information

We only use your information for clear purposes. UK law asks us to name the legal basis for each one, listed below.

  • Delivering the courses, coaching and programmes you buy. Legal basis: contract.
  • Taking payments and keeping tax and accounting records. Legal basis: contract and legal obligation.
  • Answering your messages and questions. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
  • Improving our programmes, services and website, including from feedback you give us. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
  • Sending marketing emails. Legal basis: your consent or, if you are a customer, our legitimate interest in telling you about similar programmes.
  • Tailoring our emails to the pages you looked at. Legal basis: your consent (marketing cookies).
  • Measuring how our website is used. Legal basis: your consent (analytics cookies).
  • Crediting affiliate partners who referred you. Legal basis: your consent (marketing cookies).
  • Using health or wellbeing information you share in coaching. Legal basis: your explicit consent.
  • Keeping our site and materials secure and preventing fraud or misuse. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
  • Meeting legal duties and handling legal claims. Legal basis: legal obligation and legitimate interests.

Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have weighed them against your rights, and you can object at any time. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails with the link in every email. We don't make decisions about you based only on automated processing that have legal or similarly significant effects.

Who we share it with

We don't sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with:

  • Service providers who run parts of our business for us, such as website and store hosting, payment processing, email and communication, course delivery, video calls, scheduling and analytics. They may only use your information to provide their service to us.
  • Awin, our affiliate network, when you arrive through a partner's link, so the partner who referred you can be credited.
  • Google, for website analytics, if you accept analytics cookies.
  • Your employer, if they pay for a corporate programme you join, limited to what's needed to run it, such as attendance. We don't share what you say in sessions without your agreement.
  • Advisers and authorities: our accountants and lawyers, anyone who buys our business, or authorities when the law requires it.

Where your information is processed

We are based in the United States, so your information is stored and used there. Some of our service providers may also process it in other countries.

If you are in the UK, we protect your information with the safeguards UK law requires when it leaves the UK. You can ask us which safeguards apply.

How long we keep it

We keep your information only as long as we need it, then delete or anonymise it.

  • Purchase, billing and tax records: 7 years after the purchase, for tax and accounting.
  • Account and course access: while your account is active, then normally up to 2 years.
  • Coaching notes, including health or wellbeing information: normally up to 2 years after your last session, or sooner if you ask us to delete them.
  • Marketing email list: until you unsubscribe. We then keep only your email address on a do-not-contact list.
  • Messages and enquiries: normally up to 2 years after we last hear from you.
  • Cookies: see Cookies and similar technologies below.

Cookies and similar technologies

When you first visit, a banner asks which optional cookies you agree to. Essential cookies always run. Analytics and marketing cookies only run if you accept them. For visitors in the United States, affiliate tracking by Awin and our store platform's own statistics start straight away unless you opt out.

You can change your choice at any time with the "Cookie Settings" link at the bottom of every page on lifebemore.com.

  • Essential – Squarespace, our website platform: runs the site, keeps it secure and handles forms. Most of these cookies end when you close your browser; some security cookies last longer.
  • Essential – Shopify, our store and checkout platform: runs the signup store, your cart and checkout, and helps prevent fraud. Most of these cookies end when you close your browser or after a few weeks; some security cookies last longer.
  • Essential – your cookie choice: remembers what you chose in the banner. Lasts 180 days.
  • Analytics – Google Analytics: counts visits and shows which pages are used. Lasts up to 2 years.
  • Marketing – our email platform: connects the pages you visit to our emails, if you are on our email list. Lasts up to 2 years.
  • Marketing – Awin, our affiliate network: records which partner referred you so they can be paid, and we keep a note of the referral in your browser. The Awin cookie lasts for our programme's referral period. The browser note stays until you change your choice or clear your browser data.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:

  • show you the personal information we hold about you and give you a copy
  • correct it or delete it
  • stop or limit how we use it, or object to it, including all direct marketing
  • send it to you or another company in a common format
  • withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting what we did before

Some of these rights have exceptions, for example where we must keep certain records by law.

Email info@lifebemore.com to use any of these rights. It's usually free, and we reply within one month, or longer for complex requests where the law allows. We may ask you to confirm your identity first.

Complaints

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please tell us first at info@lifebemore.com. We will confirm we received your complaint within 30 days and let you know the outcome.

If you are in the UK, you can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Keeping your information secure

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information. No website or online service is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee the security of information sent to us over the internet.

Links to other websites

Our website may link to other websites and services. We are not responsible for their content or how they handle your information, so please check their own privacy policies.

Children

Our products and services are for adults only. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you think a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
